Get To Know Me

I was raised in Dallas, Texas. I moved to Santa Barbara in 1975 after graduating from Rice University in Houston. With a Masters in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science, I first worked in computer design.

After marrying my college sweetheart, we bought our first house in 1979, but seriously started buying real estate with two other partners in 2002. Since then among the four of us we have accumulated a collection of condos, duplexes, houses, and apartments.

While recuperating from a hang gliding accident, I took the opportunity to get my Real Estate license. With my investment partners, we formed the Santa Barbara Investment Team. The experience that we acquired from our own transactions allows us to help others buy and sell their properties with a critical eye for detail. Protecting our clients is essential to a successful transaction now and our continuing business relationship.

The Real Estate industry is constantly evolving with new disclosures, forms, procedures, and practices. To stay up to date, I attend classes and informational meetings almost every week. I have earned my Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI®) certification which is a year long program of 14 classes covering all aspects of the business. I am also certified as a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES®) and an e-Pro®
